College Preparatory School for Girls Grades 3-12

All Education is Global

Everything you learn has a larger context. Your actions have larger consequence. Your ideas have the power to change the world.

Holton prepares young women for intentional lives of meaning and impact in a complex and ever-changing world.

Our Global Education Program helps girls cultivate knowledge, skills, and perspective they’ll need to understand and address the shared global challenges that their generation will inherit.

From grades 3-12, our girls experience a wide array of opportunities to explore and experience global cultures, environments, economies, and political systems—both inside the Holton classroom and through travel in the U.S. and abroad.

Curriculum and Connections

Holton weaves global perspectives throughout the curriculum. Students who complete the Global Issues and Perspectives course, four years of language study, a global journey, and a senior capstone project will be designated a Global Scholar on their transcript and will receive special recognition at graduation.

Hosting an International Student

Holton works with established institutions to infuse our culture with students from a variety of countries. These international scholars add valuable perspectives and points of view to the Holton community and classrooms. Learn more about hosting an international student.

Off-campus Programs

Holton has created a range of opportunities for students to travel in the United States and internationally—to strengthen their language skills, develop deeper understanding of and empathy for other cultures, and learn about issues of global significance.
