College Preparatory School for Girls Grades 3-12

A Note from the Grade 12 Dean

Dear 12th Grade Parents,

My name is Yolanda Keener and I am looking forward to working with you and your daughters next year as their 12th-grade class dean. The senior year is a special year filled with anticipation, excitement, and time-honored traditions. Needless to say, these are unprecedented times and we know that more than ever, your daughters will no doubt be especially anxious about the year ahead. Please know that it is my primary role as their dean to ensure that they are supported in every way.

I’ve included below some important Grade 12 information that will be helpful as you and your daughters prepare for the 2021-22 school year. I am truly honored and excited to share the senior year with your seniors. Have a wonderful summer!

Congratulations to the members of the Class of 2022, who have all but completed their community service hours and submitted the required paperwork. May they continue to make a difference in the lives of others! Many thanks for your parental support in their various endeavors.

Grade 12 Parents: Navigating the Senior Year, A Road Map for Parents - Monday, September 13, 6:30 p.m. Please join Senior Class Dean Yolanda Keener, Dean of Students Lisa Craig, Upper School Director Chris Lynch, and our College Counselors, Suzanne Carter and Zoe Mayfield for this overview of the exciting (and often very emotional) year ahead. We’ll discuss what to expect from your increasingly independent and busy daughter, how best to support her, and how we try to keep them focused and positive here at school.

Graduation Dress Guidelines: The summer may provide a perfect time to start shopping for graduation dresses. I am therefore including dress guidelines for your convenience. Please let me know if you have any questions.
