Every student who plans to try out for a fall sport must attend pre-season practices, which begin on Monday, Aug. 23 for all teams (required).
If you have questions, please call or email Graham Westerberg, Athletic Director, at 301-365-6044.
Remember, students cannot participate until Health Forms are uploaded to Magnus Health.
In addition, no senior may attend pre-season until her community service paperwork is complete and on file with Ms. Wilde.
Hello Parents and Student-Athletes!
I hope you have had a wonderful start to the summer. This email is to remind you of some important information as you prepare for the fall athletic season which starts promptly at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, August 23!
Back to School page (here) from each of the sports programs offered in the fall, outlining things to do to prepare yourself for tryouts. This information is to help our athletes show their best during the first few days of the fall when coaches are trying to determine who should be placed on what teams. It is a huge benefit for athletes to get in shape before tryouts begin!

Baseline ImPACT (Immediate Post-concussion Assessment and Cognitive Testing) will be taken by all grade 9 students during preseason. Baseline ImPACT is critical for each and every Holton-Arms student. In the unfortunate event of a student sustaining a head injury, the ImPACT assessment is one of many key tools needed to help determine how the student should be treated and what accommodations will be needed for that student. Testing will be completed on an athlete’s own time at home during preseason. A link for the test with a unique code will be sent to every athlete to complete. The ImPACT test must be completed by every athlete by the conclusion of preseason whether they are participating in a fall sport or not.
Each parent has signed the ImPACT Consent Form for their child’s Baseline ImPACT assessment online with all the other health forms. If you have any questions please reach out to Maureen Siburt, the Athletic Trainer.
