2022-2023 Wellness Classes

Welcome to the Holton-Arms Adult Wellness Program. Parents, faculty, and staff are role models for the students at Holton in embracing the importance of healthy activities in their daily lives. The Wellness Program fosters a sense of community and collegiality in a safe and active setting. Individuals of all fitness levels and abilities are welcome.

Fall Into Fitness: Parent/Guardian and Retired Employee Classes

This Fall we have two fitness classes available for parents/guardians and retired employees. Please read the description of each class below. Email Maureen Siburt with any questions.  

In-person and Zoom Body Sculpt classes are led by Holton's Wellness Instructor, Meredith McGuire, a Certified Personal Trainer as well as a Corrective Exercise Specialist.  So even if it's been a while since you've been in the gym or have lingering injuries keeping you from working out, Meredith is known for creating inclusive routines that are challenging but not overwhelming.  The class with focus on strength, conditioning, balance and flexibility. 

Yoga classes will be taught by alumna Jennifer Katz '02. Whether you are a beginner or seasoned yogi, Jenn will lead you through a Vinyasa Flow that will fit everyone's needs. Jenn has been teaching Yoga classes to our employees and students for many years and we can’t wait to share her expertise with our parents! 

You will have the option to take both Body Sculpt and Yoga or Yoga only. Please check the dates and rates of the classes below.

No class Nov. 10 and 11 (parent/teacher conferences)

Location: Weight Room and Dance Studio

Body Sculpt and Yoga Dates (all classes)

  • September 13, 15, 16, 20, 22, 23, 27, 29, 30
  • October 4, 6, 7, 11, 13, 14, 18, 20, 21, 25, 27, 28
  • November 1, 3, 4, 8, 15, 17, 18

Yoga only (Thursday): 8:15-9:15 a.m.

Must have a total of five participants for the class to run

Yoga Dates Only

  • September 15, 22, 29
  • October 6, 13, 20, 27
  • November 3, 17

Zoom Option (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday): 8:30-9:30 a.m.

September 12-November 18

No class on Monday, Sept. 26, Wednesday, Oct. 5, and Monday, Oct. 10

Zoom links will be sent by the instructor at the beginning of each week

Must have a total of 8 participants for the class to run

Want a Challenge? Take both the in-person and virtual options. You will have 4-5 classes per week to choose from. 

Both Options: Pick from online or in-person classes, 4-5 classes/week
