(Classes begin at 9 a.m.)
As shared in our April email to families, we are beginning Late-Start Wednesdays this school year to respond to research on the many benefits of later school start-times on adolescent well-being, and to create more consistency around our late-start faculty/staff professional work days.
The first Late-Start Wednesday is Sept. 11; classes will begin at 9 a.m. Buses will run on their regular daily schedule. Late-Start Wednesdays will continue each Wednesday throughout the school year and faculty will be conducting professional work during this time.
SCHOOL PHOTOS, SEPT. 11
School photos will take place on Wed., Sept. 11. Please note the following uniform requirements:
- Lower School students will need to wear their jumper and white polo shirt.
- Middle and Upper School students should be in uniform as well.
- Seniors may be out of uniform, dressed appropriately. Solid colors photograph well; please avoid logos and busy patterns.
Holton is again partnering with FreedSPIRIT Photography this year. AFTER your student's portraits have been taken, parents will receive an email from Freed with proofs. You will be able to choose from many wonderful photos, and all ordering will be ONLINE. There is no obligation to order. The photo make-up date is Wed., Oct. 16 should your student miss the original day or desire a retake.
All students are required to have their photo taken for Student ID Cards and the school yearbook, even if you do not wish to order photos.
If you have questions or are interested in volunteering to help photographers get students lined up and looking their best, please contact Design and Production Manager Lee Zampella '85. Volunteers will receive a discount on their photo order.
