Cross Country Captures ISL Championship

Cross Country Captures ISL Championship

Congratulations to the cross country team for winning the Independent School League Championship on Sat., Oct. 30. That makes back-to-back championships for the Panthers, who won the title in 2019.

Three Holton student-athletes finished in the top 15 of the race: Ella Moore '24 placed third, Elise Attiogbe '25 placed seventh, and Lily Muhlbahm '22 placed 13th.

"Cross country this past weekend was amazing," said Director of Athletics and Physical Education Graham Westerberg. "That’s what a true team effort is. They were not the favorites going in on paper, as we like to say, but they put everything together and proved it takes every single person to take home a championship."

Be sure to come cheer the team on as they try to bring home two more championships: the Montgomery County Private School Championship this Sat., Nov. 6 at Covenant Life, and Maryland State Private School Championship on Sat., Nov. 13 at Georgetown Preparatory School.
