Congratulations to the three Upper School students recently named Scholastic Art & Writing National Medalists. Since 1923, the prestigious Scholastic Art & Writing Awards have recognized the vision, ingenuity, and talent of young people. Regional competitions take place first, honoring exceptional work in local jurisdictions across the U.S., and from these winners, National Medalists are selected, representing the very highest levels of student achievement each year. This year, students submitted nearly 340,000 works to the regional awards; 90,000 works earned recognition at the regional level, and from this group, just 2,700 students earned National Medals.
In the D.C.-area Scholastic Art Awards competition this year, 24 Holton students claimed 31 awards.
