Dear Holton-Arms Community,
More than a century ago, the vision of the School's founders was to nurture young women to live lives of positive influence. This prescient vision remains the bold drumbeat by which our students, my fellow alumnae, and our community of supporters continue to march. To ensure that the promise is kept, Holton-Arms and its Board of Trustees launched The Promise Campaign of Holton-Arms: The Campaign for Our Future.
Since 2016, Holton-Arms has been seeking early support for this Campaign — the most ambitious in School history. This comprehensive Campaign encompasses three institutional priorities: 1) strengthen our endowment, 2) improve our community spaces, and 3) increase unrestricted support for Holton.
I am pleased to announce, on behalf of the Board of Trustees and the steadfast leadership of Susie Cole Wean ‘67 (Campaign Co-Chair, Trustee Emerita) and Dave Pollin (Campaign Co-Chair, Trustee, and father of Lily '21), that the School has already raised more than $25,000,000.
Thanks to early commitments to the campaign, we have strengthened the financial foundation of the School’s present and future. We have already doubled our true donor endowment.
In keeping our promise, we have made headway on improving our spaces. Renovations to the weight room are complete, and this Spring we will begin renovations on the Gym. Looking forward to early 2023, we will break ground on renovations to the Marriott Library to reconfigure it as a space for collaboration and gathering.
Further, we have already raised more than $10,700,000 in unrestricted annual support via the Holton Fund. These dollars will allow Holton to remain flexible and innovative as we prepare students for life and a world that will not stand still. With every improvement we make, our unwavering objective – our promise – is to strengthen our girls’ experiences and the resulting long-term impact on their lives.
To hear more about the Campaign and our progress (or promise), please join Head of School, Susanna A. Jones, and co-chairs Dave and Susie, via Zoom (check email for details) this Friday, January 14 at 10 a.m. EST. They will share more about these historic philanthropic achievements and what more is to be accomplished.
Let's make a way together,
Adrena Ifill Blagburn ’87
Chair, Board of Trustees
