Grades 3 and 6 Collaborate on Chinese Lesson

To celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon or Mooncake Festival, Grade 6 Chinese students collaborated with Grade 3 on a lesson about their studies.

Students introduced the numbers one through 10, blue team and white team cheers, and check-ins such as "I feel good" and "I feel okay" in Chinese. They also presented information and played a quiz game about the festival, during which pastries called mooncakes are traditionally eaten. Students then demonstrated making mooncakes with Play-Doh using intricately designed molds, a fun hands-on activity to showcase what they'd learned about this cultural tradition.
