Don't Miss the Upper School Holton-Landon Play "Almost, Maine": Friday, Feb. 19 & Saturday, Feb. 20, 7 p.m.

Holton and Landon Upper School Students present the winter play “Almost, Maine” by John Cariani on Friday, Feb. 19 and Saturday, Feb. 21 at 7 p.m. (See the trailer above!)

This romantic comedy follows nineteen residents of a fictional town in Maine as they fall in and out of love. Scenes filmed on Zoom are combined with innovative shadow puppetry sequences to tell the story. Students in Mark Robinson’s Design Tech class worked with guest artist Cecilia Cackley to create shadow puppets representing each of the actors in the cast so that they could represent their physical movements even though they could not be filmed together.

“Almost, Maine” celebrates the improbability, humor, and everyday magic of human connection against the odds.

Heads up! Unlike previous productions that were streamed on the Holton and Landon Performing Arts YouTube channel, “Almost, Maine” will be streamed on ShowTix4You in accordance with the licensing agreement with Dramatists Publishing Company. Tickets are free of charge and can be found here
