Congratulations to the staff of the 2019-2020 Scribbler Upper School newspaper, which was just recognized as a Gold Medalist in the Columbia Scholastic Press Association's annual publications critique program.
CSPA was founded in 1925 to support the scholastic publishing community, provide training for student journalists and advisers, and promote excellence in the field. Each year, the organization's critique program provides member publications with detailed feedback via a written evaluation based on a common set of standards. The document notes specific strengths and areas for growth and recognizes publications that meet and exceed standards.
In the judge's commendation of the 2019-2020 Scribbler, they wrote, "Your print edition is impressive, especially since you printed two print editions after lockdown... A testament to your staff and editors. Great, timely coverage."
