JV Soccer

The 2017 Holton-Arms junior varsity season has been exciting for both the players and coaches. Led by a new coaching staff, the team consisted of a big mixture of incoming freshmen and returning players. The JV team showed considerable persistence and heart during the tough ISL season. This team produced high quality and exciting soccer in almost every game they played. Unlucky scenarios and missed opportunities seemed to be our Achilles heel this season. However, this did not stop or dispirit our team, and they continued to produce their high quality of soccer during the season. This season the team contributed 25 goals and 17 assists from nine different players in different positions. That means more than half of the team was producing dangerous chances to score, and this is not including the other players that played incredible defense and goal throughout the season. Their efforts are what kept games close in the season.

The team had great games from their first home game against Georgetown Prep Day School to the final home game against Bullis, but their most memorable performance was the at Potomac Play Day. Fighting for fifty-fifty chances, winning aerial battles, and keeping their opponents on their toes, are just some of highlights of a fantastic performance the JV team had that weekend. It was amazing to watch a group of student-athletes to execute high-quality soccer and improve their skills during the season. The coaching staff could not be prouder of their team! Go Panthers!
