JV Soccer

OVERVIEW

The 2018 junior varsity soccer team has a talented roster that includes two returning players and 18 new faces. Throughout the preseason, the team put in a tremendous effort and showed great potential during the rigorous two-a-day sessions. With a substantial amount of new faces on the roster, the team worked especially hard on working in a new formation and style of play. The student-athletes pushed themselves both physically and mentally to prepare for the tough ISL season ahead.

With a new formation and system of play, the coaching staff understands the importance of creating a positive team chemistry that instills playing for one another. Throughout the preseason we worked on numerous drills and small-sided games with an emphasis on keeping a shape in the new formation whether on the offensive or defensive side of the ball. Another point of emphasis that we have looked towards is keeping possession of the ball and the willingness to create more goal scoring chances in the final third of the field.

The team and coaching staff are looking forward to seeing you at our games and we thank you for all your wonderful support. Go Panthers!
