UPPER SCHOOL MATH CAMPS 2026
ls your student ready to hit the ground running next fall? Join us for one of our Summer Math Camps, lively summer programs designed specifically for rising Upper School Students. We’ve built the perfect bridge: a high-impact review of last year’s essentials combined with a strategic preview of the upcoming curriculum.
Explorations in Geometry (Rising 9th Grade)
Explorations in Geometry invites students to think deeply about shape, space, and visual structure. Through problem solving, discussion, projects, and hands-on exploration, students will investigate fundamental geometric ideas and develop the ability to reason visually and logically. The camp emphasizes geometry as a way of thinking rather than a collection of formulas, encouraging curiosity, creativity, and clear mathematical communication.
Through hands-on exploration and visual reasoning, students will see how geometry opens a rich world of wonder—and how geometric thinking deepens our ability to see, understand, and appreciate the world around us.
Contest Math Summer Camp (Rising Grades 9-11)
Our Contest Math Camp is a one-week summer program designed specifically to help students develop their problem-solving skills and strategies for performing well in mathematics competitions like the AMC, AIME, or USAMO and others. It focuses on advanced mathematical concepts, rigorous practice with challenging problems, and techniques for approaching contest-style questions under time pressure, and it will include topics in algebra, geometry, number theory, and combinatorics. Importantly, it provides a supportive learning environment where campers can interact, problem-solve, brainstorm and share strategies with like-minded peers.
What students might learn at a Contest Math Camp:
- Advanced techniques for solving specific problem types
- How to break down complex problems into manageable steps
- Time management strategies for timed competitions
- Number sense and pattern recognition skills
- Proof writing and logical reasoning
- Exposure to challenging mathematical concepts not typically covered in school
