POWER UP & PREVIEW: Middle School Math Camp 2026
Is your student ready to hit the ground running this fall? Join us for Power Up & Preview, a lively summer program designed specifically for rising 7th and 8th graders. We’ve built the perfect bridge: a high-impact review of last year’s essentials combined with a strategic preview of the upcoming curriculum.
Why Families Choose This Program:
- Strengthen the Essentials: We sharpen core pre-algebra and algebra skills—focusing on equation solving, expressions, and total fluency with fractions and decimals.
- The Power of "Yet": A central part of our camp is fostering a Growth Mindset. We help students move past "I can't do this" to "I can't do this yet," encouraging them to take risks, ask big questions, and see mistakes as essential steps in the learning process.
- An Early Curriculum Preview: Students gain exposure to upcoming grade-level topics. This builds the "I’ve seen this before" confidence that is key to a smooth transition in the fall.
- Applied Problem Solving: We move beyond the textbook with logic puzzles, team-based challenges, and strategy games. These activities are designed to build persistence and creative thinking in a low-pressure, high-fun environment.
- Build Early Connections: This is a great opportunity to get to know Middle School math teachers in a relaxed setting and welcome our newest MS Panthers. It’s the perfect way to build community and feel "at home" in Middle School before the first day of school.
