Please schedule the required student interview via the admissions portal or contact the Admissions Office at 301-365-6000 or admissions@holton-arms.edu. The interview is for the applicant only. We encourage you to have the application complete prior to the student interview.

We highly recommend that families consider a Shadow Visit for their daughter's experience with Holton. Shadow Visits are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting in October and include Middle School class visits with current students, an opportunity to see the campus, and the required student interview. Availability is limited. We require families to begin the application prior to scheduling this visit.

Applicants will take a required online in-house test. This test will be administered virtually by Holton. Testing will begin in late October and can be scheduled through the admission portal.

Holton-Arms requires an official transcript for the current and previous school years. Please sign and give the Request for Transcript form to your daughter's school. We strongly recommend that your daughter's school send the transcript electronically to admissions@holton-arms.edu.

Holton-Arms requires three current teacher recommendations (English Teacher, Math Teacher, and a Third Teacher of your choice). The third teacher should be an individual familiar with the applicant, such as an athletic coach, mentor, art teacher, music teacher, etc. Recommendation forms can be submitted through the admissions portal.

Additional recommendations from other teachers, coaches, mentors, and friends are welcome, but not required and may be submitted to admissions@holton-arms.edu.

The goal of the Holton-Arms admissions process is to get to know your daughter better. One way we hope to understand your daughter's authentic self will be through a short video of their creation. This video is a time to share or show more about their personality and interests in a comfortable space. Some ideas could be to share a favorite hobby or sport, a passion, an experience, an example of artwork, recite a poem, or just tell us more about who they are.

Parents/guardians and applicants are invited to join an optional group campus tour. Each tour will consist of a maximum of three families. All adults scheduled for the tour must provide proof of valid ID. These group tours will begin in October.
