Our Strategic Plan

Before developing our strategic plan, we affirmed and strengthened the foundational architecture that grounds Holton-Arms: our mission, vision, values, and Portrait of a Graduate. Our values are not new; they give clear language to what has long been part of the fabric of our School and help us put our values into practice more intentionally.

Our Portrait of a Graduate lets us begin with the end in mind, defining the skills, habits, and qualities we seek to cultivate in every student through the qualitites we seek to cultivate in every girl with an education of mind, soul, and spirit. 

Together, these elements provide the foundation from which we built our strategic plan and its four pillars. 

For over a century, Holton-Arms has prepared young women to lead. We've built a reputation for academic rigor, a close-knit community, and the confidence our students develop as they "find a way or make one." Our mission to educate mind, soul, and spirit has produced generations of women who shape their fields and communities. That foundation is real. Our faculty care deeply about students. Our alumnae network spans the globe. Our graduates succeed at selective colleges and in their careers. We have something worth protecting and building upon.

The four pillars answer an important question: How does Holton design for excellence? A Holton-Arms education must preserve what is essential, strengthen what matters most, and prioritize depth over breadth so that our graduates are ready not only for college, but to step into a world we cannot yet imagine—and shape it.
