Shopping

Today we took the RER to Notre Dame. Today was the nicest day in our entire trip because it was sunny and warm.in front of the church were about 50 statues of the kings of Israel and at the top we could see the gargoyles. There was a scavenger hunt to do, but we did not do all of the questions. we liked to sit inside of the church and look at the incredible stain-glass windows. Towards the end a choir came to the steps and sang a hymn. The echo throughout the church was beautiful.
We walked to a cute boulangerie on the Isle de la Cité (i think) and many girls bought half baguettes for less than a euro. After we split up into small groups and went shopping in the little boutiques. Among items bought were scarves, necklaces, and flowers. Some girls sat by the waters of the Siene and suntanned.
A few people remembered to meet up on time and went to one of Mademoiselle Selims favorite cafés for late lunch. Once the rest of the group came we all relaxed in the sun sipping citron-pressés (basically make-your-own lemonades). There were bricks, which were kind of like crispy, wheat crepes with breakfast food on the inside, and tiramisu eaten at our table.
We walked to the RER and returned back to Daniélou. We were sad that today was out last day, but also eager to return home and continue our fun summers!
