Cross Country is off to a great start this season. The team is led by a group of veterans who have warmly welcomed and encouraged our new members. We had a very successful preseason including a variety of workouts. The girls spent time doing intervals on the track, running hill repeats, doing running workouts in the pool, strength training, and biking to Georgetown. We made a conscious effort to mix up the workouts, because cross training is an important part of a well rounded training program and aids in injury prevention. Almost all of the girls improved their times in the timed mile from the first week to the second week, and we are excited to continue to watch them progress over the course of the season!
