Artists in the News

Ann Vaughn, Holton's Music Department Chair, received the MMEA Outstanding Music Teacher Award.
Artwork by Holton students is currently on display through the end of March in the Children's Room of the Bethesda Library.
Yasmin Alamdeen '17, Shea Sion '17, and Emily Tian '19 have received recognition for their writing in the the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards regional competition.
On February 10, Holton-Arms string players will be joined by musicians from several schools for the third annual Holton-Arms Invitational String Orchestra Festival. Holton is excited to welcome this year's guest violin soloist, Jonathan Carney, concertmaster with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra!
Six ceramics students and four photography students from Holton-Arms have been recognized by The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards regional competition.
The Antigone Project is an innovative fusion of classical and modern theater which explores the limits of compassion and the rule of law in Ancient Greece and Modern America. Drama Director Elizabeth Zitelli and Technical Director Mark Robinson collaborate with a group of 30 students to create a compelling evening of theater.
