Artists in the News

Rhea Chung '12, winner of the National Symphony Orchestra Young Soloists' Competition, will make her solo debut with the National Symphony Orchestra.
Twelve ceramics students and one photography student from Holton-Arms have been recognized by The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards regional competition.
Romance, trickery, disguises and schemes abound in this year's Upper School Winter play! Scapin is a classic trickster character from 16th century Commedia Dell'Arte theater of Italy, immortalized by Moliere's 1672 play, and adapted by Bill Irwin (Mr. Noodle!) and Mark O'Donnell.
In preparation for their Friday, February 7 concert, the Upper School Orchesis dancers have had the opportunity to work with guest choreographer Aysha Upchurch. Upchurch is an award-winning choreographer as well as the Founder and Artistic Director of Life, Rhythm, Move Project based in the DC area.
Rodgers and Hammerstein's beloved classic musical took the stage to sold out crowds in the James Whittier Lewis Theater on November 7 through 9. Drama Director Elizabeth Zitelli led this group of nearly 100 artists in mounting this grand production. Photos and more >>
Thirty-four of the photographs submitted to FotoWeek DC by Holton students will be on display and the entire community is invited to attend the opening reception from 12:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. on Friday, November 1 in the James Whittier Lewis Theater Lobby and the Camalier Gallery.
