Financial Aid

Holton-Arms School makes every effort to assist families with the increasing cost of education. Our goal is to maintain a sound financial aid program that enables all students to participate fully in the educational opportunities the school offers. In addition to tuition grants, we provide assistance with the cost of textbooks, transportation, laptops, and after school care.

Information for Families

You may begin to apply for financial aid starting on November 1, 2010 as described below. Families may access the Parent's Financial Statement (PFS) Online to apply for aid for the 2011-2012 school year. To be eligible for consideration for financial aid at Holton-Arms, you must complete your application by January 5, 2011 for currently enrolled families and February 1, 2011 for families seeking admission for 2011-2012.   We will communicate decisions about financial aid on/after February 15, 2010 for our current families and on/after March 7, 2011 for the newly admitted families.

We use School and Student Services (SSS) to process financial aid applications. SSS is a service of the National Association of Independent Schools. Based on the financial information you provide, SSS gives us an estimated amount your family can contribute to educational expenses. This helps us make fair and objective financial aid decisions. To begin your financial aid application for the 2011-12 school year, follow these steps below.

ONLINE

  1. Go to sss.nais.org, where all information will be processed.
  2. Click on the prompt to begin your 'Parents’ Financial Statement' (PFS). You only have to complete one PFS even if you have several children applying to our school.  Our School Code is 3958.
  3. You will be given a password that will allow you to return to your PFS at a later date before submitting it.
  4. You will be given instructions about submitting required backup documents by mail. Your documents will be handled with the utmost level of security. To read more about SSS’s document security, go to sss.nais.org.
