Volunteerism has a rich tradition at Holton and remains vital in fostering a strong sense of community. The Holton-Arms Parent Association provides community building and parent education programs for the School. The organization has volunteer opportunities for nearly every interest and volunteers participate on a variety of committees and at events.

Blue/White Night Spirit Night

Spirit Week Events

This school-wide event occurs each year in the Fall. Throughout the week students enjoy special “out-of-uniform” days (e.g., blue-white day, pajama day, etc.). This week is also marked by a school-wide parade and game of blue/white freeze dance. Parents are welcome to view the parade/freeze dance. Details will be provided before the event with tips on the best spots for viewing.

The Holton Fund

The Holton Fund is the primary fundraising effort at Holton-Arms. The School depends on ongoing annual contributions to sustain daily activities, to support excellent faculty, and to look toward the future. From lab equipment to computers, financial aid to sports activities, art classes to school plays, the Holton Fund supports the people and programs that make up the Holton experience for every girl, every day. Since tuition alone does not cover the cost of a Holton education, gifts to the Holton Fund provide funding for the School’s most immediate needs.

Each year, we ask all members of the Holton community to make The Holton Fund a philanthropic priority, and we are proud of the strong support from our current families, alumnae, grandparents, alumnae parents, faculty, staff, and friends of the School.

Faculty/Staff Appreciation

Each year, the Parents Association honors our wonderful Faculty and Staff with three special events:

Fall Faculty-Staff Appreciation Luncheon: We ask parents to donate luncheon specialties to this unique buffet filled with delicious fare!
Sweet Treats: We ask parents to contribute their favorite baked goods to this much-loved February event.
Faculty-Staff Appreciation Brunch: Held on the last Friday of the school year, this brunch features the ever-popular Omelette Man!

Sign-up forms will be circulated for each event – we greatly appreciate your generosity!

Please note that Holton requires all parents volunteering on campus or accompanying students on day or overnight trips to be fingerprinted prior to the start of their volunteer service. Please contact our Security Office to request a date and time for your appointment. These can be scheduled for Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
