Holton's global education curriculum prepares students for life in their communities, both in the present—while they are in school—and in the future—after they leave school behind.

Holton faculty incorporate exciting opportunities for students to investigate the world, apply disciplinary and interdisciplinary expertise, understand multiple perspectives, and take responsible action.

Lower School

Middle School

• Interdisciplinary and experiential learning opportunities occur throughout the program but especially in our “Outside-the-Box” (OTB) series. OTB themes have included: the Civil Rights Movement; the Great Age of Islam; Israel and Palestine - A Land Twice Promised; and Latin America Day.

Upper School

• Global Issues and Perspectives course: In preparation for the Junior Journeys, juniors take a one trimester, interdisciplinary, team taught course designed to introduce them to the Sustainable Development Goals as a point of departure for exploring the world’s most pressing issues.
