College Preparatory School for Girls Grades 3-12

Events & Volunteering

Volunteerism has a rich tradition at Holton and remains vital in fostering a strong sense of community. The Holton-Arms Parent Association provides community building and fundraising support for the School. The organization has volunteer opportunities for nearly every interest and volunteers participate on a variety of committees and at events.

Wondering what you are signing up for?
Find out more about Holton events below!

Blue/White Night Spirit Night

Join the entire Holton community in celebrating Holton’s Panthers! Cheer on our Varsity and J.V. teams and enjoy an all-school family barbecue sponsored by the Parents Association. You and your family won’t want to miss this special, spirited evening!

Holton ARMoire

The Holton ARMoire is a unique tag-sale fundraiser featuring a fabulous collection of casual, sporty, and formal clothing for every member of your family! Each and every item is donated by our Holton community – we welcome donations all year long, so please set aside items you no longer need or want: new clothing with tags or like-new, accessories, bikes, sports equipment, like-new shoes, etc. and donate them to this unique event!

Volunteers are always needed to help solicit and sort donations, set-up the event, and assist during the sale. Please select ARMoire on the Holton volunteer form if you are interested, or contact PA Volunteer Coordinator Melissa Kimmel.

Spirit Week Events

This school-wide event occurs each year in the Fall. Throughout the week students enjoy special “out-of-uniform” days (e.g., blue-white day, pajama day, etc.). This week is also marked by a school-wide parade and game of blue/white freeze dance. Parents are welcome to view the parade/freeze dance. Details will be provided before the event with tips on the best spots for viewing.

The Holton Fund

The Holton Fund is the primary fundraising effort at Holton-Arms. The School depends on ongoing annual contributions to sustain daily activities, to support excellent faculty, and to look toward the future. From lab equipment to computers, financial aid to sports activities, art classes to school plays, the Holton Fund supports the people and programs that make up the Holton experience for every girl, every day. Since tuition alone does not cover the cost of a Holton education, gifts to the Holton Fund provide funding for the School’s most immediate needs.

Each year, we ask all members of the Holton community to make The Holton Fund a philanthropic priority, and we are proud of the strong support from our current families, alumnae, grandparents, alumnae parents, faculty, staff, and friends of the School.

To volunteer for the Holton Fund, please contact Dani Aronson, Director of Constituent Relations.

Mosaic

Join us in celebrating the Holton community's mosaic of cultural heritages, and enjoy amazing food, arts and crafts, and music from around the world.

Volunteers are needed to host country/culture tables, and to assist with set-up, logistics, and performances. If you would like to volunteer or host table, please contact PA Volunteer Coordinator Melissa Kimmel.

Father's Committee

The Holton-Arms Fathers' Committee is a resource for fathers to get involved in the Holton community. We aim to offer Holton dads the opportunity to connect with other Holton dads and to host inclusive events that you can attend with your daughter – we strongly believe that all families should enjoy the events hosted by the Father’s Committee, so mothers, uncles, and friends are always welcome to participate.

Please contact Charlie Hewlett or Eric Gary, Father’s Committee Chairs, or your Father’s Committee Division Rep with questions or for ways to get involved.
