College Preparatory School for Girls Grades 3-12

Financial Aid Program

Holton’s dedication to the education of young women is evident in the scope and depth of the School’s academic, athletic, and arts programs. The various curricular and extracurricular activities which take place during the school year provide our students with valuable opportunities for exploration, growth, and accomplishment. Our parents value the educational experience their daughters gain at Holton, and our alumnae attest to its lifelong benefits.

In keeping with our commitment to enroll qualified students regardless of their financial circumstances the School maintains a sound financial aid program. We believe that an inclusive community which reflects the socioeconomic profile of our region and of today’s society offers ample opportunities for developing leadership skills and learning cooperation.

Financial aid grants are need-based and are renewed annually. We carefully consider each aid application and make grants available to families with demonstrated need. There is no specific income level at which a family no longer qualifies for financial aid. Income, assets, liabilities, number of children attending tuition schools, and age of parents are some of the factors taken into account in determining need and eligibility for aid. In 2017-2018, the financial aid budget is $4.4 million. This budget supports 23 percent of our students. The average grant is $26,559, with individual grants ranging from 10% to 96% of tuition. Students who qualify for financial aid receive assistance with the cost of textbooks, technology, transportation, and extended day at the same percentage as their tuition aid.

The admissions and financial aid processes at Holton-Arms School are independent of each other. The Financial Aid Committee reviews the aid applications of accepted students after admission decisions have been made. Parents who have provided all of the required information will be notified of the grant amount before they have to reply to the offer of admission. To ensure that your aid application is given full consideration, please observe the following deadlines.
