Rather than sending the girls home during two days of parent/teacher conferences, the Lower School took advantage of the time, filling the days with fun and educational activities and field trips that provided unique and memorable experiences.

This multi-award winning and critically acclaimed Irish play is the Upper School spring production with performances on March 19 at 7:30 p.m. and March 20 at 2 and 7:30 p.m., in the Diana Coulton Beebe Black Box Theater.

Sheila Bair, Chair of the FDIC and Holton mother (Colleen ’18), spoke to the third through sixth graders March 1 about banks and saving money. Ms. Bair has been named the second most powerful woman in the world by Forbes Magazine in 2008 and 2009.

The Class of 2011 has reached the 100% participation mark for Holton’s Annual Fund, the first class to do so in the 2009-2010 school year.

Local children’s author Mary Downing Hahn visited with the Lower School students Feb. 18 as the guest speaker for the annual Stabler-Stewart Lecture. She shared her sources of inspiration for her stories, which range from mysteries to ghost stories to historical fiction and westerns.
